Acer presents smartphone range at MWC
Feb 19th
Acer for years was the development of computer equipment and now they are after-market cell phone cut off. Four devices are presented, DX900, X960, F900 and M900, are touch-screens with Windows Mobile 6.1, but on the basis of data they necesserely not be in the same price range.
The question now is when and where Acer is the first mobile phones to sell – in Asia or in Europe?
Touch-screen operation and Windows Mobile 6.1 are not the only things that unite Acer’s smartphones. All of them have a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, the same 533 MHz Samsung S3C powerful processors and more importantly – the Internet via WLAN. Networks are also essentially the same. GPRS, quad-band GSM EDGE for all of them and not just DX900 EGPRS.
DX900 is the least equipped with four. The same 2.8 “VGA TFT LCD touch-screen display with X900, it does not have his camera. 3.2 MP for X960 and 3MP dead DX900. But in the meantime, DX900 is the only hit a dual SIM card slot .
Just like the first pair, M900 and F900 have the same picture, but in her case, it is an entire inch larger 3.8 “WVGA TFT-LCD touch screen. F900, however, has a worse 3 MP camera, while M900 is a ahead with a car – focus and flash lighting 5 MP gadget.
Mind you, that Windows Mobile 6 1 Acer installed on its new mobile phones is now waiting for his offspring – WM 6.5. That makes us strive to find out whether it is WM 6 5 of the situation, or are they reasonably priced, if they do not.
Acer Handset Inspired From the Glofiish DX900?

Can it be the first Acer Smartphone?
Jan 29th

No, this is not what Acer has its sleeve for the introduction in Barcelona on 16 February. But I bet it is nearby. The reasons are quite simple.
Glofiish
Acer dropped some major cash, order this brand and their tech. Then they set 500 employees to the task of creating smartphones. I suspect, given the fairly good-looking phones Gloffish was able to get out, Acer will be somewhat more attractive.
Windows Mobile
This day is for the GSMA Mobile World Congress and Windows Mobile to “wow” us with 6.5, the spot light is on Acer. I think of it as a pay-back for all Acer Aspire outside running XP. Glofiish Windows Mobile phones, and we have every reason to believe that Acer does not stray from this course.
The iPhone was ringing the bell for all over a period of six months at the time of the Glofiish purchase, so it could become a very modern take on their success.
Europe and Asia think
It was said that Acer is building for Europe and Asia, with this introduction of new products. By us in the U.S. have to wait until Acer is the courage to try this marketing. We are a tough nut to crack, just ask Nokia.
The top of the phone is, I believe, a touch screen to work with Chinese characters. The others will be predictable QWERTY slider, probably similar in design to the image above.
