The Pharos 565 is the first rugged PDA in the world, operating on the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. We do not know many of you are using PDAs in these days, what with smartphones in a position to cope with all kinds of tasks. This is of course for a select group of users.
Features include a 3.5 “QVGA touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS support, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, Office Mobile and a 624 MHz Marvell PXA310 processor.
It will also survive drops of 4 to 5 meters.

Rumor: HTC Obsession to be the Touch Diamond3

The rumors HTC obsession that could lead the charge of Windows Mobile 7 devices, it may actually a direct continuation of the touch Pro2. AT&T and HP Introduce HP iPAQ Glisten

AT & T and HP announced the upcoming availability of the glittering new HP iPAQ. It is AT & T, the first smartphone with AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) touch screen with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 and QWERTY hardware keyboard.
Users can easily move between work and play with advanced mobile e-mail capabilities, integrated Wi-Fi and GPS functionality as well as extensive multimedia features and applications. AT & T supports Windows Mobile Marketplace for access to a variety of applications.
In addition, the user can allow the benefits of the integrated speakerphone and enjoy the freedom of hands-free control with Voice Commander, speech recognition software that reads text messages, e-mail and appointment details and start searching messages and choose Contacts with simple voice prompts.
The HP iPAQ Glisten will be available in the coming weeks.
LG GM750 Windows Mobile smartphone

The LG GM750 is a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone, are very closely with the existing GM730 handset in context.
With a 3 “240 x 400 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 3.5G support, WiFi and GPS, the new shares GM750 most hardware feature to its predecessor. The GM750 comes with HSDPA data with a maximum download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps, or alternatively you could use the GM750′s WiFi capabilities. LG say that the phone is 109.8 x 53.5 x 12.9 mm, which is a bit more compact than the iPhone action, but it has come with a smaller display.
The LG GM750 is exclusive to the Vodafone network by the end of the year. Prices range from free to around 380 for a SIM-free version if they made a contract. It seems pretty good value for money offer, considering the specifications and it is a useful addition to something dying Vodafone’s lineup of phones.
Samsung Code becomes MetroPCS’ first Windows Mobile 6.1 phone

MetroPCS pre-paid mobile service provider on Monday announced that the Samsung code was added to his band. The handset is the carrier of the first with the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. With the operating system the user can access contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, a voice recorder, and Windows Live. The WizPro interface is optional, and users can customize home screen by links to the most frequently accessed features.

Acer unveils S200 neoTouch with 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen

This week, Acer launched its latest flagship Windows Mobile smartphone, the S200 Acer NeoTouch. The NeoTouch has a large 3.8-inch resistive touch screen display which is an impressive 800 x 480 pixels provides (WVGA) resolution. The thin plate shaped device has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, HSDPA and HSUPA data (depending on the region) and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon sizzling 1GHz processor.
The NeoTouch the new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone operating system and comes with Acer UI 3.0, the company equipped finger of EMS, running on the operating system. Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 phones to receive 6.5 operating system upgrade

Microsoft has launched smart phones with information on upgrading earlier versions of Windows Mobile on the new 6.5 version, released yesterday. Several partners, the cell phones that feature Windows Mobile 6.1 is an update to the new operating manufacturing, but Windows Mobile devices with versions 5.0 and 6.0 do not receive fresh OS.
According to a list published by Microsoft, HTC, Samsung and Pharos have signed several of their equipment upgrade. HTC updated the Dash 3G, Ozone, Snap and Touch Pro2. Slowing Jack, Epix and Omnia will receive Pro v6.5. Laslyt the Pharos Traveler 137 set to be improved. No producer has announced the availability of firmware updates.
