Motorola Droid II Review
Sep 2nd
When the second generation product was presented, you expect significant improvements from the first model. Motorolatakes a different approach with the Droid 2, the follow-up to last year’s groundbreaking Droid, both of Verizon. Rather than a fanboy dream update, barely two Droid is a small shift. Given the fascination of the same name is cheap, but more feature-rich Droid X (although the reported problems with the implementation of the Android 2.2), it is even more surprising, the Droid 2 no longer a radical departure from the first droid. Not that there is a bad phone – Motorola has the possibility, the slide-out keyboard Droid missed to the next level.
Features and Design
Physically, the Droid 2 is almost identical to the original, a chrome frame is at the top of the phone, the easiest way to distinguish the two.
Operational Motorola has rearranged the four Android navigation buttons below the display (Back, Menu, Home, Search has become Menu, Home, Back, Search – oh, goody), the slide-out keyboard (not spring-loaded smooth as, say on the Samsung 4G Epic Sprint) now has some directional buttons instead of toggle a square that is expressed on each edge, and there are some insignificant differences in the nature of Android 2.2 is implemented (the original droid can now be updated) – various icons in the first place. Big Deal.
Performance-wise, not Droid step 2 up to a 1-GHz processor 550MHz chip in the original, so that the droid has two little faster. Even today, standard DLNA connectivity, a widescreen still photo set and an included Blockbuster App. You even get the same amount of RAM – 16GB, but arranged a little differently: the Droid has built two 8GB and one pre-installed 8GB microSD card, while the original had 256 MB of built but a 16GB card included. Otherwise, you are still the same dark horizontal slider with a three-row QWERTY keyboard (no dedicated numeric row), a 3.7-inch widescreen 854 x 480 LCD, 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 4x digital zoom, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1.

A bit more frightening is how much you get to the Droid X at the same price as the Droid 2: a 4.3-inch screen, an 8-megapixel camera, 24GB memory contain a total of (built-in 8 GB and a pre-installed 16GB card) and HD video recording. The Droid is second only advantages are its slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a longer talk time.
In addition to a faster processor, the Droid 2, three other major upgrades covered by the Droid: 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities for connecting up to five devices, more memory and built-third longer rated talk time (6.4 hours vs. 9.6 hours ) despite the same size battery.
Multimedia
The Droid 2 has the same sharp, colorful display as the original, and includes a blockbuster app, but none of Verizon’s video offerings or MobiTV. Its widescreen is perfect for viewing the page loaded films proportioned, but if you are interested in the Droid as a PMP, you should be looking at the Droid X with its 4.3-inch screen.
Either Motorola or the new Android 2.2 OS has not recall the original edition of the droid, what music you from here when going to and from other multimedia-app solved the left lane.

Sound Quality
Calls are loud and clear from Droid 2, but listeners at the other end reported a bit of muddiness come by. Sound can be used for hands-free listening and multimedia, because the long, thin speaker is mounted on the back of the phone will be muted.
Camera
Motorola has an already impressive Droid camera by allowing a 5-megapixel wide-screen mode that allows you to cram much more into the frame image improved. Outdoor photos are sharp and colorful, but is not it – colors tend toward the blue end of the spectrum tend. Shots taken indoors, with or without flash, the focus remains surprising in comparison to other high-megapixel Cams cell, but also tend to granular.
The Droid’s two most surprising shortcoming is its WVGA, instead of HD video recording. Videos are pixel-free, but details are unclear, especially when blown up full screen on a standard PC monitor size.

Battery Life
Even if the Droid 2 has the same size as the first battery Droid, Motorola must have done some low-power tap dancing, get almost 10 hours of talk time. Running in the real world use with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on and off, the Droid lasted almost two days two semi-regular phone call, web surfing, photography and share before we committed to recharge.
Verdict
Come the day after Labor Day, when the Droid X is again available, it must Droid drools between two $ 200 Droids: The Droid X with its 4.3-inch screen, 24 GB of memory and HD video recording, and , the Droid 2 decide, with its physical keyboard and long battery life. Unless you absolutely refuse, a touch-screen keyboard to use the Droid X, is by far the more advanced Droid.
Motorola DEVOUR A555 Review
Aug 25th
For social-networking addicts, there is no better mobile interface as Motoblur. Motorola’s Android overlay innovative aggregates all your social media accounts, and provides the latest news and information about updates, what looks like cartoon quote bubbles comfortably on the phone home screen spread. So far only on the Motorola Cliq from T-Mobile, Verizon Motoblur now comes to devour on the Motorola, a sleek-if-bulky new Android phone encased in luxurious aluminum. Motoblur, with a spacious four-line slide-out QWERTY keyboard makes customized, Devour probably the easiest way to stay in touch, without speaking, and offers an attractive package of comprehensive features and functions. But how does Devour match up with other Android Verizon phones that are similar and the Droid HTC Eris?
Features and Design
Like its cousins Android, Devour accesses Verizon 3G EV-DO network includes Wi-Fi connectivity, and is always welcome with the visual voicemail. The Droid is like the value thanks to its included pre-installed 16 GB SD card, compared to Devour (and Eris’) pre-installed 8 GB card. Tthe Devour is only equipped with a 3-megapixel imager that poor-bland, grainy and blurry photos lasts. The Devour includes Bluetooth 2.0 instead of the 2.1 specification on the Droid, and is a 3.1-inch LCD compared with superior 3.7-inch display Droid. The intertwining of the mass and weight are immediately noticeable, making it larger and heavier than the Droid. Its silver aluminum design with rubberized black highlights is Klingon-like and decidedly masculine.

Devour is superior to almost one faculty is dedicated to the top line of numbers on their four-line QWERTY keyboard. The keys are also slightly more elevated and more reactive than the Droid is to promote faster typing. But Motorola is Motorola and taketh away. Devour’s Lone shift and function (symbol) buttons are on the right instead of left, an arrangement will benefit only left-handed typers slowed down, typing for righty rest of us. The Devour’s @ button, a dedicated button on the Droid is a function key unfavorable brought to the W, instead of two, as on standard QWERTYs. The Eris, of course, lacks a physical QWERTY.
Instead of the usual slide-off back door to access the battery and SD card cover, a rubber-coated cover slips slightly to the side, rather like a digital camera. The Devour’s top-mounted power button and camera-shutter button is almost flush with the surface of the phone, so that both are too heavy too fast through the feeling. During his show is not as sharp or bright as the Droid (but then, to be fair, only a few mobile phone screens), or Eris, Devour LCD’s is still colorful, if a little dark. YouTube videos play in a high quality, and most filled the screen.
Sound Quality
Even without Motorola Clear Talk Technology eat, like most Motorola phones, offers superior sound quality. The rear speakers pumping a surprising amount of volume for music, video, audio and hands-free conversation.

The functionality of the phone
With a green phone icon is omnipresent on the bottom of the five home screen, the dialer Devour’s reach a little faster than the Droid is what only one other Android App icon. Of course, the biggest difference between swallowing and Droid Motoblur. Yes, you get all your messages and social networking updates and news updates without drilling even as far as Android’s pull-up menu. But Motoblur Update bubbles clutter your screen as papers for a desktop calendar blotter, to force you to pull up the menu “Applications” that can access almost all other frequently used functions.
Network
While above average biting, the charging time of 4-5 seconds swallow consistently behind both Droid and Eris delayed by one or two seconds. That’s fast enough, if not side-by-side comparison, but part of a pattern of comparative inferiority. And while Droid Eris and regularly invoked the more appropriate HTML versions of mobile sites such as The New York Times and Wikipedia, the less convenient access Devour full HTML versions.
Battery Life
Motorola Devour prices at 389 hours of talk time and 443 hours (18.45 days) standby, both more than either the or the Droid Eris, with almost twice as high as the standby time for the Droid. In practice, our test model, the battery mysteriously died after only one day is not charged. And even if the battery indicator showed almost 50 percent remain in power, joined our Devour less than an hour later.
Verdict
If you are constantly Facebooking, twittering, Instant Messaging and e-mailing, the pretty (and pretty difficult) Devour offers a superior social-networking experience. But, along with the fantasy of aluminum frame, you pay mostly for Motoblur and the dedicated QWERTY number line. Motoblur the value disappears when you consider how many non-Motoblur features and functionality you get with the Droid for only $ 50 more, and if you do not mind touch typing, the function is also half-superior Eris Devour a price . Both previous Android swallow Devour in the total.

Motorola CLIQ Review
Aug 9th
The Motorola Droid is grabbing all the headlines, but it’s not just the company – or first – Android-based smartphone. That honor belongs to the Motorola Cliq, which some could be so different from the Droid as Android-based smartphones. The Cliq with Motorola’s Motoblur software for the collection of information from social networks, a very user friendly, that the phone makes Droid in the comparison is dead serious. The Cliq social bent may not be for everyone, though.
ike the Droid, the Cliq is a slider-style phone, but where the droid is square and angular, the Cliq is soft and round – and this is a good thing. I found it very much more attractive and more comfortable than look to keep the Droid. When the phone is closed, you will see the 3.1-inch touch screen and three touch-sensitive buttons underneath. The screen is smaller than I would like, but not so much that it is unusable. It sports a high resolution (480 x 320 pixels), which helps make everything nice and crisp. The full QWERTY keyboard slides out slightly below the display, and is very comfortable to use. The keys are close together, but they are beautiful raised so that it easy to find and press.
The Cliq is very comfortable to hold in your hand and use for typing, but I found it strangely uncomfortable hold next to my ear during a call. This is primarily because the Cliq something heavy (at 5.7 ounces, it weighs almost one ounce more than the iPhone 3G, for example). Voice quality was very good, but with calls come through loud and clear on both ends. I also like how easy it is to access the keypad during a call. The most Android phones you have to dig through the menus to the keypad during a call access, which can be a hassle when you have to enter an extension or a voice mail password. But not the Cliq – everything you need to do is tap an icon.

BUY MOTOROLA CLIQ NOW WITH A SPECIAL OFFER FROM T-MOBILE!
The Cliq is the Android software, but it adds Motorola Motoblur user interface, which synchronizes information on your e-mail account, social networks, photo-sharing services and more. All your contacts will be compiled into a master list from which you look for them to work on different sites and services and your history of communication with them. The interior is simple, just select which services you use from the list, which includes options such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo Mail, MySpace, Picasa, Last.fm, and more. Enter your login information and all your contacts will be drawn in.
The Cliq website has several widgets that display information pulled from Motoblur. The Happening Widget displays information such as tweets and Facebook status updates from your friends. The social status widget, you can update your own status on multiple services. A news widget displays the latest news, such as text, email or direct messages from Facebook or Twitter. Motoblur makes it easy to keep track of your various social networks and your stay more contacts. It provides a handy universal inbox, where all your incoming messages collected. But make the widgets look very busy Cliq website – there is little room for the screen background on the left. And the result can be overwhelming, quite a lot of text thrown at you when you turn on your phone.
Beyond Motoblur is the Cliq a highly customizable Android phone. You get five screens, which you can fill with the widgets of your choice, plus a reasonable amount of installed software. If the software you want is not on the Cliq, you may be able to find it in the Android Market. The market can not rival Apple’s App Store, which offers more than 100,000 apps, but you will find a good selection of apps for work and play.
The Cliq Android ships with version 1.5, in contrast to the Droid that comes with the newer version 2.0. That is, you do not on Google Maps menu, the excellent (and available free of charge) GPS app that comes with the Droid. It’s too bad. You get access to Google Maps for directions and text-based TeleNav GPS application for spoken turn-by-turn driving directions, but TeleNav costs $ 10 per month.

BUY MOTOROLA CLIQ NOW WITH A SPECIAL OFFER FROM T-MOBILE!
The Cliq handles e-mail a little different than other Android phones. For starters, it is the rare Android phone that does not require a Gmail address for the setup. (Gmail users will appreciate the tight integration, Android, Google with all things, though.) The phone supports POP3 and IMAP accounts, and with corporate email accounts, and synchronization. Thanks Motoblur, you get a messaging application that combines all of your mailboxes in one place. You will receive a universal inbox, news gathering from your various email accounts, social networks and other online services, but you also get individual mailboxes for each account. It is a nice way to track of all messages that you get to keep not only your e-mail.
The Cliq the HTML browser is a bit of a disappointment when the browser compares the Droid. Where the Droid You can enable you to access the address bar simply by tapping on the screen, the Cliq – like many other Android phone – forces you through a menu. It is a nuisance. The Cliq offers support for 3G HSDPA both T-Mobile network and Wi-Fi wireless networks, though, so you have many opportunities for high-speed surfing. And while T-Mobile network is growing, I found it delivered fast surfing in my tests of the Cliq outside of Boston.
The Cliq’s 5-megapixel camera has a few decent shots, but it lacks a flash. You will receive an auto focus (although it seemed a bit slow in my tests), choose a digital zoom, and the possibility of three resolutions. The Cliq also record video clips, but the video camera option is entirely separate from the camera. You can not switch between them, one has the camera close to the video camera and vice versa, which is a pity open. It is much more convenient to be able to change photos and videos, adding an icon. The videos I saw caught a bit dark, but otherwise maintained.
As with all Android phones Cliq offers one-touch access to Amazon MP3 store is DRM-free music downloads. You also get a basic music player for organizing and playing melodies. The Cliq Motoblur’s interface will appeal to social networking fanatics, but everyone else may find it just a bit too much. Among them, however, the Cliq have a good-looking, easy-to-use Android phone.
Motorola DROID Android Phone Review
Aug 2nd
So far, I had probably 20-30 smartphones, with whom I played, but certainly for Droid, it is something else. Compared to other phones Droid iPhone, G1, Storm, or even Palm Pixi Nexus One must say, it’s not the “best” cell phone search, but certainly looks good. If you are in your front jeans pocket Droid think you almost, as he is not there at all, when you sit down, you get maybe a little poked by the sharp edges.
With 169g weight of 6 ounces, or you just do not feel like it’s too hard when you are all in his hand talking to someone, but then again, if you throw it on someone or something you might Droid some serious damage to make.
Droid has large 3.7 inch display with multi-function buttons such as Back, Home, when you consider Search “and” menu under the screen that other phones do not have a big screen and no buttons on the front of the body, making Motorola the screen really comfortable. Since Droid with Android OS 2.0 you get three-screen pages that you want as you modify it. You can embed widgets, apps, picture frames, watches, and bunch of other things that you have enough space set up the way you want Droid. The only thing I do not like to have G1 vs. Droid, is how the symbols are separated from each other, but that will not prevent them placing 20 of them on a screen!
If I could describe the performance of the Droid all I could say is “WOW” or “Damn Good”. Compared to other phones Droid has some serious CPU speed performance. Even tho iPhone 3G (only) has 600MHz and 550MHz has Droid Droid, I think quickly when it comes to running multiple applications or applications over all handling. Seeing with the iPhone 3G, I experienced many times that depend only apps and that is exactly what not meet Droid. But then again are different Apps on the iPhone vs Droid. Over all I think it is really good and you will not be disapointed when you think of this one Speedy Gonzales can be obtained (RAM 256).

I’m not 100% sure if Droid has problems with shots at night with flash, but so far I was not with pictures, I was satisfied. There really is no blurring when you or someone waived moves capture the precise moment, as an image, but the problem I had with the colors because they were completely off. In daylight or with flash without 5MP camera is really good, so good that you might not care extra digital camera with you! Recording is what I accumulated the most! It is the quality of the DVD, but that’s only if you move slowly Droid otherwise we might see some problems that do not feel as annoying as I have seen on other phones. Overall, camera and video recording, as long as it is not satisfactory in dark area, but as I mentioned, I am not 100% sure whether it is only the Droid I have because I have not seen anyone say complains too much about it.
Of all the features Droid has, I was most pleased with the Battery Life. I have not seen any phone perform long. Droid was full on the morning of that day for free on the Internet I was probably for 5-6 hours surfing Twitter had multiple windows open, took a few pictures and videos and at the end of the day I have left is still above 30% battery life. When it comes to the battery with 1400 mAh capacity handling, and life is really good. Per specs sheet, you can for about seven hours of talk time, but the conversations that long, really? Now days, most people spend more time SMS.
Ah, the slideout QWERTY keyboard! The life of SMS, makes writing easy beginning. I used QWERTY keyboard to write so many times to review! and it bothered me not at all as long as I write fast. If I am on Twitter apps or browser I use most on-screen keyboard, which is pretty accurate. I love the fact that the prediction is right scrolling text above the keyboard on the screen is bad because when you write in 5 different languages, as I make my life more difficult. Why? Well, because at the end of every word actually replaces it with the prediction. On many occasions, instead of spelling it was Mwd.com prediction of text with Med.com version so when I my Twitter App m.mwd.com it a few times was written incorrectly.
I was with Android OS 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0, and now with Android OS. 2.0 So far, all other beats due to the fact that it handles very efficient battery life phones like Droid makes it very powerful. To be honest Android OS 2.0 is not much different than 1.6, which I am currently on my G1. But then again only two phones currently have Android OS 2.0 installed: Droid and Nexus One!

BUY MOTOROLA DROID NOW WITH NEW VERIZON WIRELESS SERVICE PLAN AND SAVE MONEY!
If someone would offer me G1, Storm 2, iPhone or Droid as a “smart phone” I would certainly bring Droid, even if someone would offer Nexus One. Why Droid on Nexus One? Keyboard! I like the fact that I use two keyboards on a mobile phone and QWERTY on-screen keyboard, but that’s just me. People constantly send me e-mails and blog posts I write when I can and use via On Screen Keyboard iPhone, Storm or Nexus can not just cut the speed. 3G speed is nice, in some cases I think it’s still too soon for 3G phones such as Droid, as Web applications can not handle or 3.2mbps 7.2mpbs T-Mobile, but if you download upload images, applications or the use 3G for anything other than Internet browsing, 3G is really handy at all times. I like the fact that Droid comes with 16 GB SD Card
The Droid Review could be different for everyone, so if I say that well it is not “good” for you, or if I say shooting in the dark is not so great, that does not mean you could not like. Over all I think is really good Droid smartphone for new and advanced smartphone users.

This phone is a marvel of technology used to preserve the innovation, done their work. The Motorola Backflip is powerful, beautiful and fast. It comes with a manual keyboard and a big screen and is still only 15.3 mm (.6 cm) thick. As Motorola has done it? It was pretty simple. Set the manual keyboard on the back of the reverse flip. It opens like a book with the keyboard on the back, suspended at any time. Is this a sign of things to come? The novelty of this phone, time will tell. The camera is a five-megapixel model with LED flash, autofocus, geotagging and video. The Backflip can record at 25 frames per second in the MP4 (MPEG-4) format. This is nothing to write home, but acceptable. For audio, you get stereo speakers and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack.
The Google Android operating system is a true gem on the Motorola Backflip. It accepts almost any social networking work you ask it to do. It has many applications (Apps) that track your friends, you can get special rates and a variety of other jobs. The type of navigation for the screen on the back flip is the back of the touch screen. You open the device and apply your finger behind the screen and the menus or other things. This is called “Back Track” from Motorola and is a neat trick. It takes the finger out of the way of the screen, so you all without anything blocking your fingers can see.
Overall this is a capable smartphone Motorolola fighters in the ever-changing world of technology. It can do much, and still fit in your pocket.

Motorola Flipout Coming in June
May 14th
According to recent reports, a new Android handset from Motorola is coming this June.
For those who are wondering, the square phone shape that this brand new phone takes is not new, Nokia has a similar device and the Microsoft Kin One is also of a similar look (though the Kin has more rounded edges than the other two devices). Certainly, the phone form works, it is handy and at the same time, pretty compact. Typing on a small 2.8 touch screen would be a serious problem and that is why the slide out, actually, spin out QWERTY keyboard has been put into the device.
Fans of the Android will be happy to know that the Flipout, unlike other Android devices being launched recently, is actually in the more affordable mid-tier price range. Of course, it will not have the high speed Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. Instead, the phone will be running on Texas Instrument’s OMAP processor which is clocked at a speed of 700MHz. It is actually powerful enough to handle most of the apps and features on the phone, even the occasional loading times and slowdowns are hard to notice.
Then aside from the 2.8 inch screen and the 700MHz CPU, this mid range handset also comes with 256MB of internal memory, support for up to 32GB SD cards and a 3.1 mega pixel snapper for taking images and videos.
Initial screenshots of the device feature the Motoblur user interface so those who will get this device can expect some integration of email updates, social networking sites and possibly even Twitter to already be present in the system.
Motorola is also working on high end Android (or maybe, Androids) that are expected to arrive later this year. There are plenty of rumors that the new Motorola Shadow project is actually making the next Google phone and possibly the Milestone 2 (DROID 2). Motorola Droid Review
May 11th
For those to follow, the measures DROID 115.8x60x13.7mm inches and weighs less than 165g hair. It has an 3.7-inch WVGA (854×480 capacitive pixel) touch screen displays 400,000 pixels clearly. It is nice to have a larger display on an Android device – it gives the user the feeling of the work on a real computer equipment and not just a small smartphone.
The DROID phone also offers integrated GPS, Bluetooth (2.1) and Wi-Fi (802.11b/g). MPEG 4, H.263 and H.264 video playback at D1 resolution (720×480) and contained 16 GB microSD memory card provides plenty of storage space for videos, music and photos.
The user replaceable, rechargeable batteries is good for as much as 6.4 hours of talk time and 11.25 days standby. To be in relation to the real world, “said Motorola Chairman Sanjay Jha to me that the battery DROID would provide a whole day to use a fully charged battery. As is the case with all smart phones, actual battery life depends entirely on the use and will vary from person to person.
The camera is 5 megapixel and despite its reasonable specifications on paper, it may very well be the DROID its weakest link. The images are crisp, often seem out colors, even in bright outdoor lighting and any movement that occurs within the framework will undoubtedly lead to a ruined image washed.

The DROID is also what is the fastest processor of all Android phone: called Texas Instruments OMAP 3430, which reportedly can run as fast as 600 MHz.
Motorola Droid Google is the first device of any kind, released the new Android 2.0 operating system. Everything from e-mail application to the contacts interface, the video players and even gaming skills seem improved over previous builds of the Android OS.
We love the fact that this is the first device, which is also free, built-in, turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation courtesy of Google Maps navigation. No longer do you have to bring a separate GPS device to be charged in the car, or over 100 for a similar application for mobile navigation. Google App makes to get a good job where I must go myself, but it is not without shortcomings.
If we should happen away from Google Veer preset rate, the App constantly try us again on what it considers to be the right way.

As any regular users GPS navigation will tell you, a device able to display the route is fast and efficient high priority. Fortunately, this is a problem that can be worked with a software update.
Wrong debate aside, offering somewhat mechanical female voice audio guidance in Google Maps navigation is tolerable.
In comparison to other, soothing voice guides, at least it is not to spend all their time telling you that it is “recalculating” the route at any time you lose track of it for a moment. Google Maps knows navigation, when to talk and when silent.
Our only other qualm with the Droid is the fact that Motorola and Verizon dropped multitouch support for features such as two-finger zoom – something that is supported in the European version of DROID, dubbed the Motorola Milestone.

The reasoning behind the move is allegedly patent-related, but it would have been a nice feature to have.
Overall, the DROID is faster than any other Android phone (at this point) for completing tasks, and – most importantly, perhaps – rendering the graphical user interface elements. The result is a nearly lag-less user experience. It also produces great-looking YouTube videos with very few hiccups or tremor, and local video playback is as smooth as it gets.
Motorola RAZR2 V9x Mobile Review
May 3rd
While it looks like the game-changing Motorola RAZR and smells like the original, even the Motorola RAZR2 V9x can be thought of itself as a slightly modernized version of his brothers.
After the initial Motorola RAZR mobile phone is revolutionizing the world in the same way the iPhone 3G later did, subsequent iterations of the RAZR do not have nearly the same hunger produced as the pack leader.
That is, the expensive Motorola RAZR2 V9x not step up to the all popular “Touch” plate – well, almost. One of its outstanding features is a larger, external display with touch capabilities increased. There is no touchscreen, but when the phone is open.
The stainless steel structure is slimmer than the original RAZR and its batteries an impressive punch. The touch-sensitive external display of the Motorola RAZR2 V9x is similar to the Motorola Rapture VU30.

Differentiation in the market
The primary differentiation of the Motorola RAZR2 V9x is the continuation of the previously popular Motorola RAZR look and feel. Some have grown tired of this revolution, and some bars on them.
In view of this handset’s advantage over previous versions, which would be its touch-sensitive external display, dual speakers, and be generous battery.
Motorola ROKR E8 Review
Apr 28th
The ROKR series is Motorola’s answer to Sony Ericsson Walkman series and is intended primarily as a music phone. Like the Samsung Soul and the LG Venus has the E8 virtual touch-sensitive buttons and menus, which adapt to the function you are currently using: mobile phone, music player or imaging mode. This gives the phone gives an elegant minimalist appearance, definitely an advantage that regard when it comes to appearance. The use of a tactile (eg vibration) touch screen is positive feedback to the on-screen menus, and makes the phone easy to use. In combination with the navigation wheel, you can FastScroll the music player functions with ease.
The phone is slim and weighs 106g, which is slightly heavier than average, but the phone a bit more “body”, so that it sits comfortably in the hand.
The E8 majors in music, it can take a look at what it can do. As we have already commented, the music player very easy to use, with the combination of context-sensitive touch-screen controls and the FastScroll navigation wheel. You can easily create playlists on the go, while listening to music, and organize your music and playlists is very simple drag-and-drop interface. The phone is compatible with Windows Media Player 11, and Motorola have provided access to over 200 online music stores if you want to download music directly to your phone. An FM radio is built into the phone. Audio quality is good and the music player supports all popular digital formats. Of course, supports the E8 stereo Bluetooth headsets, and the use of a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack means that you connect your own headphones.

But perhaps the feature of the E8 is its enormous storage capacity – up to 6 GB. The built-in memory is huge, at 2 gigabytes, and you can add a 4GB memory card, if it is your music library big enough! This gives you enough space for 1,500 MP3 tracks (if more compressed.) Motorola seem to have really over-delivered on-memory, which we welcome very much. Compare the 2 GB of onboard memory with 12 MB of the Sony Ericsson W580i, the pathetic or pitiful 30 Mbytes of the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music.
The ROKR E8 delivers with certainty when it comes to music. It also contains the most essential features: a 2-megapixel camera with zoom but no flash, a video camera, a web browser and e-mail. The camera is not brilliant, but do not forget that this is a music phone. The E9 seems to work well as a mobile phone with good reception and clear voice quality. Motorola CrystalTalk technology helps voice quality by improving the background noise. We also want to point out that the battery life is excellent, despite the thinness of the phone.

We are not expected, blown away by the ROKR E8, but in reality we are very impressed. Motorola have a mid-range music phone, keep the light may be contrary to its own mid-range mobile phones supplied by other manufacturers. It comes with exceptional storage capacity and offers an innovative new user interface for no apparent problems. Compared to similarly priced offerings from Sony Ericsson (W580i) and Nokia (5310 XpressMusic) We think that is the ROKR E8 is the clear winner. Highly recommended!
