Modu Phones Finally Head to the Markets
Jul 20th

Modu, the modular mobile jacket we fondled in 2008 and whose release date we heard about briefly in February, is apparently ready for production.
Word came to us today about a tip on Israel, through Google Translate, so go with plenty of skepticism. That means we have an article cited Modu CEO Dov Moran, who says that the modular mobile phone is to launch in Southeast Asia in the 2nd Quarter (as we reported in February). The report adds that the 200 employees modulation, in addition to the raging new phones that were invited to swap modules for Nokia phones are.
As a refresher training, the modular concept is simple: Take a small, tiny cell phone and a series of “jackets” is that a multitude of different tasks. You can make an “MP3-Jacket,” for instance, while another may just a palette swap for a night on the town. If you are still confused, think of the Wiimote and the many white plastic worthless sports accessories, except in this case, the add-ons to do something like GPS.
Unfortunately, if this strikes your fancy and you reside in the U.S. you have no luck, (until now). In the article, only mentions Moran, Southeast Asia, Russia and other isolated areas outside the North and South America.
