A Hunt for a Great Mobile
Jul 30th
I always find it difficult to find a new phone, and this time around there seems to be more choice than ever. Choice is a good thing of course, but for someone as indecisive as me it is an absolute nightmare! I walk into phone shops, look around the place and I can just never make my mind up! They all look so pretty to me and I end up liking something about all of them! This time round I knew that the only way I would be able to make my mind up about a phone was to look online, find some reviews and use them as a way of choosing. This way I could be sure of finding a great phone, and I wouldn’t actually have to choose myself!
Once I had a bit of a look around online, there were a few clear favourites that had been reviewed by the public, but there was one that particularly caught my eye, due to its great looks. It’s not like me to even be able to single one out, so I thought I ought to have a closer look at the Sony Ericsson X10. From the reviews it seemed to be up there with the best smart phones on the market, and there was a great deal available through Dial a phone so on that basis I went for it!
I have to say that now I have received the phone I have been thrilled with it! It is fast, has a great camera and is brilliant for my music. Best of all, I chose it all by myself!
Motorola Droid X having Wi-Fi problems?
Jul 23rd
With the iPhone 4′s Death Grip issue, many haven’t even noticed that the Motorola Droid X has it’s own problems. There were some recent display issues, but now users are also reporting that the phone has difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi hotspots, and once they do, they encounter poor network performance.
Apparently changing the encryption from AES to TKIP seems to help. Some users have also noticed that using 802.11g instead of 802.11n helps to reduce the issue. Hopefully Verizon and Motorola are working on it.
Nokia Kinetic concept phone stands up when you get a call
Jul 23rd
We have to bring a phone and never stand on it’s like a zombie from a grave even seen, but we dig the concept phone just such a Nokia phone. The Nokia Kinetic design concept is an electromagnet in its thick base, the balance so that it gradually increases or decreases are using to shift.
If you receive a call or a text message, the phone will get up slowly, so you know that you have a call. If you do not want to answer the call, just tap on it discarded. Pretty neat.
Until phones start to walk check out the real Nokia N97.
Motorola undecided about Android 2.2 on the Milestone
Jul 23rd
Owners of the Motorola Milestone wonder if they ever a firmware update to Android 2.2. Well, there’s some bad news. James King, marketing director of the European Region, has stated that no decision on whether the Milestone is always the Android 2.2 update or not.
The problem is that there are a lot of trouble with the testing and integration to ensure that everything works perfectly, to take to do it before printing. You can, of course, see it as half full glass kind of deal, but it does not sound encouraging for us.
But he did not want to say that Android 2.2, do not come to the Motorola Droid. There is always the case.

LG CG900 Viewty Review
Jun 14th
LG Viewty sold seven million handsets, so they probably have an idea of how many they want to shift Viewty Smarts, as in steps as a direct replacement for the handset. We got our hands on the new camera phone on the market in the UK, a pre-production sample, wait still tweaks to a final software before on the shelves.
The idea, said LG us was to provide a direct replacement without asking customers to get some more money for an expensive contract with the phone. In this way, the Smart Viewty is seen as a compromise could be a phone that does not break hardware limitations, but in these difficult financial times, not the bank does not break.
The result is a device that pulls together some of the recent successes LG’s, as its new S-class port in KM900 Arena and GD900 Crystal seen, and seen together with the type of camera specifications in last year’s KC910 Renoir is an 8-megapixel sensor and a whole collection of digital magic, you like to find a compact camera, and some that you do not.
The unit itself is slim and lightweight, measuring 108.9 x 56.1 x 12.4 mm and weighs 102g. The front is dominated by the 3-inch 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) widescreen display. Below the display is a single bar, which is your calling keys and the Home button.

Scattered around the body can find a good collection of controls, bottom right, you have a specific triggers and volume controls and a valve for connection to headphones, charging and TV-out. On the right side you have the slot for the microSD card so you can extend the internal memory of 1.5 GB, possibly up to 32GB. It is also an additional shortcut button on the left.
It is a great size and weight of the device is he good in the hand and is easy to operate. The S-class user interface feels as he thought fit in well with the Viewty Smart: The intuitive scroll-down menus make it easy to navigate. The touch screen seemed to respond not just as the arena and not the acceleration sensor. Since those on the last things that are are apparently ironed out in final software updates, we would expect them to be solved if the retail version comes.
LG are adamant that they have between the devices and a clear focus differentiate device. In this case it is imaging, although you annoy pretty much the same entertainment elements to the arena, including the Dolby Mobile and DivX Xvid offers, but the lack of a standard 3.5 mm jack may be those who want to use find their own headphones. LG said that it is probably a dongle in the box, so you could always swap out the supplied headphones with your own, and accept that you yards of spare cable.
But looking the other way is the Viewty Smart offers a series of blistering photo features. That is, to share some of the features are only for your entertainment and are suitable, but not really to transfer into the world of mainstream photography. For example, you can blow into the microphone to cloud the picture, then wipe clean a section of your photo with a finger. Fun, but the novelty will probably wear out pretty fast. It is the usual selection of frames and “Beauty Shot” and so on, so if you then for a little fun at the photo should fit the bill.

In relation to the real world specs are LG With a maximum ISO 1600. This step is part of a compromise was a xenon flash presented, the claim is that the increased ISO range allows you to pictures indoors without the need for a lightning have bulked the phone would be a bit more (and possibly influenced the price). True, to some extent, but we need to look how well it handles the noise under such conditions in a comprehensive review at a later date.
Instead, you need an LED “flash”, which was adequate in our tests, short-illumination. The position of the LED means it is vulnerable to a finger or reflects your hands if you do not stop the phone is so covered, and LEDs tend to blow the color from everything. But again, we must give it a full test at a later date.

Touch focus is a clean one handy feature that we receive, test, and got, so it simply concentrate on what you want, instead of just leaving the phone in order to decide for you. General focus seemed a bit sluggish, touching perhaps inclination, that the more positive and useful to the shot you want. You’ll also find face detection, Smile Shot, as we have seen in previous camera-phones from LG.
On the video before you get the ability to record up to DVD quality with 720 x 480 is the maximum resolution (30fps). Although it provides an average resolution for a camera phone, we start to see the emergence of HD, for example, the Samsung i8910, so why not here? We suspect that to save it, that for the 12-megapixel mobile phone, promising that she has for some time LG.
