U.S. Cellular launches Motorola Quantico rugged clamshell phone

U.S. Cellular has the Motorola Quantico, a rugged clamshell handset designed to military specifications to withstand water immersion and adverse weather conditions, built and launched.
According to military data, the Quantico survive flooding of up to one meter of water for thirty minutes. The Quantico, the housing, chrome, glass and rubber is built to survive extreme temperatures, dust, shock, and poor weather conditions.
The phone has Bluetooth for use with hands-free headsets and headphones, has a 1.3-megapixel camera, and has support for microSD cards, as well. GPS technology, the handset provides turn-by-turn navigation functionality. Finally, a speakerphone helps users communicate in many settings.
