Samsung Creates its Open Mobile OS called Samsung bada

Samsung has announced the launch of its own open mobile platform, Samsung bada announced in December. The name ‘bada’ which means ‘Ocean’ in Korean, was chosen to convey the infinite variety of possible applicationswhich can be created on the new platform.

Dr. Hosoo Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Media Solution Center, Samsung Electronics, said: “With the opening of Samsung mobile phones, we will be able to offer to get rich mobile experience in a growing number of smart phones available.” He added: “Bada is Samsung’s landmark, iconic new platform that brings an unprecedented opportunity for operators, developers and Samsung mobile phone users around the world.”

The official website (www.bada.com) is on 10 November, open and offers a variety of information about bada, including updates on product launches, features, feature and event information. Samsung will also host an official launch event for bada in London, UK unveiled in December and is also his bada Software Development Kit (SDK) for developers for the first time that day.
