Nokia N97 Firmware Update
Nokia today announced a new firmware for the Nokia N97, which contains some improvements in the e-mail, imaging, USB detection, stability and transitions show widget software. The software can either be from the Nokia Software Updater, or you can also use the update file directly from your phone.
The changes are:
- USB error detection: PC does not recognize N97 or USB port not recognized.
- Widgets Home-screen, online offline widget crash fix
- Fix for “Alphabetical and number input in Facebook by the end button is pressed.
- Widget UI improvements – new Facebook widget solves a problem for the Home screen background, soft-key area.
- Browser updates to improve stability widgets.
- E-mail for the exchange of related sets Partial solution for messaging calendar entry is lost.
- E-mail for exchanging calendar synchronization entry errors.
- UI bug fixes transition (portrait <-> transitional landscape, there is a Home screen corruption.) UI transition (slowness and bad effects)
- Answer UI Touch Slow
- Picture of the device seems to lock half of the screen when the switch UI sometimes
- Landscape: In some cases, the soft-touch buttons (right) show the Home screen background (install maps.google.com)
- Photos thumbnail performance and stability improvements Performance deteriorates, when many of the content in the device – especially photos
- Partial correction no backlight illumination, when the lock-unlock button – CAP reported Genius
- New version of Accueweather to improve the “Connection error” situation
- Device Reset surfing with High-Speed Packet Access (for Malaysia)
- “Browser UI soft key does not work after the Chinese character set with QWERTY Keyboard
- Java updates (TCK, pre-install app disappear, * # 7370 # *)
- Operator fixes (CMCC, Hutchson and Telefonica, Vodafone)
- Ovi store client now embedded in the Core Image
