Palm Releases webOS 1.0.3 Update

Palm has pushed an over-the-air update for the downloading pleasure that a number of functional enhancements to the Pre.

The company has a complete feature list of WebOS 1.0.3 on its support site, but some highlights are:

  • Non-SSL Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) E-mail servers are now supported.
  • Events in your Google calendar (either in the calendar on your phone, or in Google’s online), the symbol or accented characters in the name of the event can now synchronize. Previously, even a symbol or accented character in an event name of the event prevents syncing.
  • If you have a weekday alarm on a weekend, the alarm only on weekdays. Sooner would sound the alarm on the weekend too.
  • The sync interval for the Google Contacts was dropped by every few hours every 15 minutes.

Our preparation is in the middle of a video battery drain test now, but we will WebOS 1.0.3 download, once they completed our review and update. In the meantime, let us know how the update is for you.
