Samsung Alias 2 Launches on Verizon

Verizon Wireless has the Samsung Alias 2, a double-hinged gripper with a morphing keypad, the same display technology on the Amazon Kindle.The Basking Ridge, NJ-based carrier said the alias 2 is a new and innovative keyboard powered by E Ink – the same company behind the low-power display on the Amazon Kindle and Kindle 2.
Rather than a jumble of keys with small labels, the handset keypad to change, depending on what users are doing. So a QWERTY keyboard is displayed when users enter text messages and numeric keys are created when they are placing a call.
Other features are a 2.0-megapixel camera with camcorder, VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn instructions, VCAST for music and video streaming music and video clips, a microSD memory slot, stereo Bluetooth technology and RemoSync synchronize corporate email, contacts and calendars of office PCs.
