Sharp announces solar and waterproof phone
Most people carry their cell phones in your pocket or purse, so you have to wait until you get home, until you get it on – usually when the sun has gone down. But what if you live where electricity is scarce, and you are not more often than not, the conditions which are all also in the Third World? Then solar looks like a much better option. And hey, if the phone could be waterproof, too, that would be great. Enter this brilliant model of Sharp and Japanese telecom companies AU.A release date for June, the phone two hours standby time or talk to one minutes every 10 minutes. That is not much, but when the next socket is hundreds of miles away, the one minutes longer than you have something else. It is a good idea for rural areas, as long as you’re still in a network, of course. Throw in satellite and it would be golden.
