In a Wall Street Journal article about how Microsoft plans to special softwareGoogle to allow developers charge for their Android apps starting this week program for smartphones with Windows Mobile, Google Android OS was briefly mentioned. A little paragraph at the end of the article, which deals with Android have about how Google would let developers for their applications this week.

The last known word in this case was that Google developers would earn money its applications in the early 1st Quarter of 2009. So it seems Google has up to their word, when in fact, WSJ is correct. One of the reasons the iPhone App Store is popular is because developers have a reason to create Apps – they can make money from it. I hope by letting Android app developers make money its applications, the Android Market is filled with paid Apps, and more free.
