Google Mobile app released
With all the announcements from Google in recent days, including offline access to Gmail for the iPhone and Android, many users of Windows Mobile have their concerns about the future of Google’s innovations on the platform of their choice. 
With the release of Google Mobile App for Windows Mobile, you can almost hear collected sigh of relief WM fanboys everywhere. Wednesday, Google, on the official Google Mobile blog, announced the immediate availability of the new application with the goal to the mobile Google search for “power users.
The new application can be assigned to either a hardware button or the Start menu and includes a practical home screen plugin. This application level functionality in a Google search home screen plugin that was released in March of last year, but significant improvements in some areas. The new application saves your recent search history for quick access, and provides links to the popular Google web applications like Google Maps and Gmail.
While most Windows Mobile users would probably prefer to use their own e-mail and Google Maps applications as Web applications, improved search speed, this could definitely be a worthwhile use. In Google, even admittedly very unscientific testing, Google Mobile App-team members were able to search about 50 percent faster than they would have by navigating to the browser and then starts Google.com.
The application is currently available for all devices with Windows Mobile, and are located in the U.S., Britain, Canada, France, Italy, Spain or Germany.
